Farewell Spit

The scale of Farewell Spit is almost impossible to capture in anything apart from an aerial photograph, so I opted to concentrate on the smaller elements of the landscape. This shot is taken on the northern side of the dunes where the Tasman sea crashes against the unlikely beak of the South Island. A return visit will be my next photographic adventure.
