Welcome to the galleries of my landscape photography from New Zealand and further afield. Some of them are my favourites because I think they capture the scene and moment perfectly. Others are included because of the technical and environmental challenges I overcame to produce an image I’m proud of. Landscape photography is a blend of art and technique that hopefully comes together with perfect light in the right place!

South Island
I live in the town of Nelson which is blessed by its surroundings. Sea, forest and mountains are all within easy reach and offer many photographic opportunities.
I love the challenge of constantly finding different ways to capture the different local environments and discovering new locations that seem hidden away
North Island 
Before moving to the Mainland, I enjoyed a few tours of the North. This island is often overlooked in favour of the more obviously dramatic south but the diversity of the natural landscape is considerable.
Additionally, many of the photographs shown here could be from any number of places but are unmistakeably New Zealand
Great Britain 
I lived for 20 years in Scotland and the Lake District of Cumbria before I decided to come to New Zealand. My passion for photography began in the mountains of these regions and the photographs here are very personal to me. I suspect that many visitors to this site will know or even originate from near these places and so I hope they remind you too
All of the photographs are available to purchase as prints and make a perfect present or a timeless gift to yourself. I print in house using a professional Epson printer, the best Epson papers and archival inks, up to a size of A3+, or approximately 40x50cm. I can also print on canvas and stretch them on custom made frames. Larger sizes can be sourced using the best print houses in New Zealand – your print will continue to be a stunning talking point for years to come.
